This Caucasus tour unites Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia sightseeing tours and provides everything for Caucasus travel.
Itinerary:
Day 1 : Arrive in Tbilisi, meet in the airport and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in Tbilisi
Day 2 : Tbilisi-Mtskheta-Ananuri-Gergeti-Kazbegi
Travel to the ancient capital of Georgia Mtskheta. Walk in the old streets of the town and visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Svetitskhoveli and Jvari Monastery. Then depart to Ananuri and explore its magnificent castle complex. In the evening arrive in Kazbegi town and visit the stunning Gergeti Trinity church.

Day 3: Exploring Great Caucasus Mountains around Kazbegi
In the morning take a tour into the Truso valley- an area surrounded by the high mountains, mineral waters, travertines, a lake with geysers and abandoned houses. Here, you can take an easy optional hike around 5 hours (15 km) or use a jeep to visit the area. Then depart to Juta Valley and explore the magnificent peaks of mountains there. Afterward, visit Gveleti Waterfalls – located in the granite cliffs of Dariali gorge, two waterfalls offer visitors clean and refreshing water and roaring environment.
Overnight in Kazbegi
Day 4: Kazbegi-Gori-Uplistsikhe Cave Town-Tbilisi
Take a tour to Gori, a birthplace of the Soviet Dictator Joseph Stalin and visit the Stalin Museum. Then depart to Uplistsikhe, a Fortress of the Lord, which is a cave town carved in the 1 millennia BC. After it, travel to the Western Georgia and visit its main city – Kutaisi.

Day 5 : Tbilisi- Telavi -Gremi-Nekresi-Kvareli
Drive to the Winemaking region of Kakheti. Visit the major city of Kakheti – Telavi where can be found the most well-preserved palace called Batonis Tsikhe(“Fortress of Master”) built XVII-XVIII and was used as a residential place for Kakhetian kings. Then drive to Gremi -a 16th-century architectural complex includes the royal citadel and the Church of the Archangels. From here we head to Nekresi monastery complex, overlooking to Alazani valley.
Overnight in Kvareli
Day 6 : Kvareli- Lagodekhi – Sheki
In the morning, we will explore Kvareli town and visit its wineries. We will visit Winery Khareba – a centuries old of wine making tradition and special 7,7 tunnel for keeping wine makes this place a marvelous place for wine lovers. Khareba Tunnels were built originally for military purposes during the cold war but in 1960s turned into wine cellars. The tunnels are cut off in the Caucasus mountains and its massif includes granite surrounded by shale layers. Because of it, any times of the year, the temperature in the tunnel is 10-14 C. Taste 4 different wines of the Khareba winery in the tunnel itself. After Kvareli, you will continue your Caucasus tour in Azerbaijan. We will travel to Azerbaijani-Georgia border and cross it at Lagodekhi. This will take around 2 hours. Afterwards, we are in Sheki city in Azerbaijan.

Day 7: Sheki – Shamakhni – Baku
At 08:30, we will drive through Girdimanchay River canyon and visit a Lahich village which is an ancient settlement with charming eye-catching sidewalks inlaid with stones. It is famous for its medieval water supply and sewage systems, as well as traditional jewelry, copperware, carpets, pottery, daggers, and iron tools workshops. Afterward, we will travel to the Diri Baba Mausoleum in Maraza. In the evening, we arrive in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

Day 8: Baku-Gobustan – Absheron Peninsula-Baku.
Meet your guide at 09:00. Today you will visit the area of the Greater Baku and Absheron Peninsula. Start with Gobustan National Park. Pay a visit to the Petroglyphs Museum and explore petroglyphs dating back to 10,000 BC. If the weather allows, continue to the mud volcanoes in Gobustan Reserve (change of vehicle to smaller cars). Gobustan is home to almost half of the world’s mud volcanoes. Later drive to Ateshgah – a temple of fire worshippers located in Surakhany village. Zoroastrians traveled thousands of kilometers from India to Ateshgah to worship fire coming out of the earth. Drive to Yanardag Mountain, where natural gas has been burning for several thousands of years. In the evening, we travel back to Baku.

Day 9 : Baku – Lagodekhi-Sighnagi-Tbilisi
In the morning, you will visit Martyrs’ Lane called ‘Shehidler Khiyabany’ among locals. When you walk through Martyrs’ Lane, you will find a beautiful view overlooking Baku’s coastline. Continue touring new Baku and exploring the architecture of 19-20th centuries: Nizami Street, Fountain Square, Nizami Ganjavi monument. Visit Maiden Tower, Shirvanshahs’ Palace, Caravanserai, and squares with numerous art studios and souvenir stalls. Afterward, you will depart for Georgia First you drive for Signagi, also known as a “city of love” offers visitors lovely streets, houses with marvelous wooden balconies, a chance to walk over the defensive wall (18th c), and taste one of the best Georgian wine. A tour of the local winery will be provided. Then continue driving to Tbilisi.

Day 10 : Tbilisi – Haghpat – Lake Sevan – Yerevan
After the breakfast at the hotel, your Caucasus tour takes you to Armenia. First sight will be UNESCO World Heritage Site Haghpat monastery. The monastery was built in 10th century by the order of Queen Khosrovanuysh. · Afterwards, drive for the Sevan Lake which is the largest lake in the region. Surrounding alpine meadows, beautiful monastery and steep rocks make this place as one of the most beautiful sights in Armenia. Afterward, we will arrive in the capital of Armenia –Yerevan. In the evening, we explore the city and visit President’s Palace, Republic Square, Opera House, and Vernissage flea market.

Day 11 : Yerevan –Khor Virap – Etchmiadzin- Yerevan
In the morning, we will depart for we will depart for Khor Virap monastery which was built in the 7th century during the reign of Nerses III the Builder. The monastery is one of the significant religious centers in Armenia due to the fact that here was imprisoned and tortured Gregory the Illuminator who converted Armenians into Christianity. Another important factor for the significance of the Khor Virap is that it is built on the territory of the ancient capital of Armenia Artashat. · Afterwards, we travel to Etchmiadzin Cathedral, which is the oldest cathedral in the world. The church was built at the beginning of 4th century but partially destroyed several times in History. Etchmiadzin, probably, reflects the tragic but magnificent history of Armenian people. Today, it is the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Overnight in Yerevan

Day 12 : Yerevan- Garni – Geghard –Yerevan
In the morning, we will depart for Garni & Geghard which are UNESCO World Heritages. Temple of Garni was built thousands of years ago and was the most important religious center before Christianity. Afterward, we will travel to another UNESCO World Heritage site – Geghard monastery was mainly built in the 13th century. Some parts of the monastery are carved out of the rocks. The beautiful landscape of Geghard is framed with towering cliffs. Decorative art cut into rocks reflects and explains Medieval Ages development in this part of the world. The complex appeared in the 4th century as a sacred spring inside the cave. Return to Yerevan. In the evening, you will have free time in Yerevan.

Day 13 : Yerevan-Tbilisi
Before leaving Armenia, start city tour in Yerevan. One of the oldest cities in the world, Yerevan is famous as a pink city and calls visitors with its humble and at the same time splendid landscapes. Visit the Cascade Monument, which was the main symbol of the city’s 2780th anniversary with the equivalent number of stairs. The mega-scale staircase is 500 meters high and 50 meters wide. A panoramic view from the monument opens breathtaking city view with Opera House, Mount Ararat, Swan Lake, Republic Square, and Abovyan Avenue, which you will also walk by during the tour.
Afterward, travel to Tbilisi.

Day 14 : Tbilisi City Tour and Departure Day
In the morning start a tour in the old town of Tbilisi which offers visitors an introductory to Georgian culture and history and is one of the top Georgia sightseeing tours. Visit the ancient neighborhoods of Tbilisi where you can explore the Sulphur baths and narrow streets with beautiful 19th-century houses with wooden balconies. Explore ancient and medieval architecture including churches, museums, houses, and fortresses.
In the evening, free time.
Travel to Tbilisi International Airport. Have safe Journey to your old home.
