2 Day Hike in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park

This 2-Day Hike in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park is a must-do for all mountain hiking enthusiasts who love forests and enjoyment with nature and want to hike in Georgia.  This hiking tour will lead you into the heart of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. The park is in the central part of Georgia and covers 85,083 ha of the land.

Itinerary: 

Day 1:Tbilisi-Borjomi- Likani Guard Station-Lomisma touristic shelter 

Walking Distance 15 km, 7 Hours, moderate difficulty

  • Borjomi Central Park – Depart to the Borjomi town which is situated in the central part of Georgia. The city is well-known of its mineral waters. You can taste absolutely natural mineral waters from the spring in the central park of Borjomi.
  • Lomismta- The hiking starts at  Likani guard station (930 m.). We are passing the Likani River valley where visitors come across rare species included in the Red List of Georgia. Afterwards, we are going up and reach to the tourist shelter of Lomismta. Overnight in the wooden cottage.

Day 2: Lomismta– Likani – Tbilisi 

Walking Distance 15 km, 5 Hours, Moderate

  • St George Church – it is located on Lomismta. In addition to beautiful views, there are flourishing rhododendrons in May and June.
  • Depart to Likani, and Tbilisi – After exploring surrounding hills of Lomi Mountain, we are heading back to the Lomismta shelter and then going back to Likani, and eventually to Tbilisi.
