5 Day Hiking in Svaneti

5 day hiking in Svaneti is a good combination of outdoor activities with cultural sightseeing. We visit all major destinations in Svaneti and take small hiking trips into the wild nature.  A unique blend of mountains scenery and local traditional architecture and traditions creates a majestic fairy-tale for visitors.  Svaneti region is probably the most beautiful places in Georgia, and a hiking in Svaneti is the vacation of a lifetime.

Great experience in the Caucasus. I visited Georgia in Aug and I joined the 6 days trekking tour in Svaneti. I symple have no words to describe the beauty of these mountains and the kindness of their people, not to mention the incredible food and wine. The trip was very well organized and the accomodation confortable. Our guide Nutsa proved to be a great professional with a lot of hiking experience. She enjoys her job and she transmits her enthusiasm to the group. A part from hiking we had also the opportunity to go to the cinema in Mestia to enjoy a film shot in the region 😁. A perfect trip!. The best of Georgia! My friends and I did a 10 day private tour of Georgia with Trek Georgia. It was such an amazing trip, i am actually considering going again! Right from the beginning i knew i had picked the right tour group. They responded to emails usually within 24 hours, were incredibly knowledgeable and gave great suggestions based on the information i provided. On the tour we had great guides who were very friendly and open to changes to our itinerary on the fly. At one place we stayed, we had a problem with the room provided for us. We met Dimitri, the owner of Trek Georgia, and he personally showed us several other options that night and let us choose. Amazing service!

Black Rock Lake We did a day tour around Tbilisi & Mtskheta before doing the 3 day hike to Black Rock Lake. All well organised by TrekGeorgia…George, who we had for our day trip was great fun, and Georgi who took us on the hike was also great…particularly in getting us to Black Rock Lake for sunset under what started out as quite difficult conditions…you’ll see by my photo’s how amazing the views were!

Amazing Experience This was a great trekking experience indeed, totally worth it!! Beautiful landscapes, contact with locals, trying georgian cuisine, exploring this beautiful country. Our guide Dito was very experience, aproachable and professional. We could also benefit from his vast knowledge of Georgian history so it was also a cultural trip in that way. In terms of the trekking itself…even when some of the days the walk was long and steep is absolutely manageable for any person in reasonable shape. In addition if you are lucky to be in a group with nice/awesome people (as it happens to me) the experience is top.

6 day trekking trip in Svaneti I had a truly magnificent trekking experience in Svaneti, Georgia. Our guide Dito, was experienced and capable and went out of his way to make sure we felt comfortable on the walk and had enough time to rest, take pictures and enjoy the amazing scenery. Walking was at time challenging (there was obviously a lot of uphill) but distances of between 10 to 18 kilometers was quite manageable. I thought the schedule of the trip was well managed. The guesthouse we stayed in were terrific – they varied in comfort level but provided us with a taste of Georgian country life. I was fortunate in being accompanied by a wonderful group of new friends.

The most beautiful hiking ever!! Bucket list experience Wow, what an amazing experience!!! This was truly the highlight of my boyfriend’s and my long trip in Georgia. The education we received about Georgia’s culture and history, the breathtaking natural landscape, and the delicious food and wine offered to us by the many hospitable Georgians we met along the way all made this a truly once in a lifetime trip. We cannot overstate how beautiful the mountains, villages, and valleys were — the land literally teemed with the most diverse array of wildflowers I have ever seen while hiking, and the medieval architecture was amazing to behold! Our guide Ditto was a fantastically trained and knowledgeable guide, and he really helped our group bond! We laughed and drank together, played games of Uno, and overall had a real blast.

Excellent Trek: 6 Day Trekking In Svaneti: Mestia To Ushguli I recently did the “6-Day Trekking In Svaneti: Mestia To Ushguli” with TrekGeorgia and it was a fantastic hike! Many thanks to our guide, Dito, who was professional, well organized, friendly, and entertaining. The mountain scenery was beautiful (particularly the enchanting mountain flowers), the villages were fascinating and atmospheric, and the daily hiking was moderate and slightly challenging (which is just what I wanted). I joined a hike that had a set departure date. There were 6 other hikers and it was a fun group of people. We got very lucky with the weather: it was dry while we were hiking and then it rained hard every evening. Although this hike is popular, I highly recommend it for the captivating mountain scenery and rich culture in the unique villages. I also did some other tours with TrekGeorgia and they were mostly excellent: 3 Day Tour To Western Georgia, 2 Day Hike In Kazbegi, and David Gareja and Signagi Tour (1 Day Tour). My guide for these tours was Nato who was very good. Only complaint (not TrekGeorgia’s fault) was I didn’t get to see David Gareja complex because of problems between Azerbaijan and Georgia in early July 2019 (I think the problems have ended but check the security situation with Trek Georgia before booking this tour). Many thanks to Dito and Nato! I highly recommend TrekGeorgia!

PERFECT TRIP OF A LIFETIME! My wife and I recently completed a private 6-day trek from Dartlo to Shatili. Everything from our first contact with Dimitri to our emotional farewells with our INCREDIBLE guides Nutsa and Misha was extraordinary. We highly recommend Trek Georgia to anyone looking for adventure and exquisite Georgian hospitality. Nutsa is not only an incredible guide, but she is clearly well respected in every village of Tusheti and Khevsureti. We were welcomed at every guest house as friends and honored guests, making the experience that much more memorable. Nutsa was also an encyclopedia of local history and legends, which enlivened our gorgeous surroundings. We elected to have horse support for the trek, which we did not regret… especially as we ascended Atsunta pass. Not only did our beautiful Tushetian ponies carry our gear, when we needed a rest Aleco, our awesome horseman, had us hop on and ride for as long as we needed. We really can’t recommend Trek Georgia enough. We came as guests and left as friends – we are already dreaming about our return to Georgia and our next adventure with this great outfit.
